The Statutory Minimum Wage is not applicable to students taking an internship/work placement course as part of their learning programme.

However, an allowance (ranges from $500-$1,000) is recommended as a provision for the student intern.
Amount
The industrial attachment course is designed for students from Year 2 and above. The total hours required to complete the internship is 120 hours.

Credits will be awarded to students who demonstrate that they are able to apply their academic knowledge and analytical skills successfully to achieve the intended learning outcomes.
